Each month we give you an update of one of our projects that have been realised by our applicators with Liquid Rubber®. Some are large (in terms of meters or in liters), others are smaller, but this way we give you an idea of the many possibilities with Liquid Rubber. If you have any questions about these projects, please contact us.
Project:
Full roof recovery
Description:
Not all black, liquid coatings are alike, even though some claim to be. There is a substantial quality difference and this often becomes obvious when it is too late...
This time it really went wrong with a roof of an office building in Staphorst (NL). The contractor chose another black, liquid roof protection. Just a matter of spraying it on and the job was done. One would think so. But not this time.
After the first serious rain shower the roof was leaking on all sides and inside the office brown water was running down the walls. When the rain was over, it turned out that the whole roof was 'eaten' and in even worse condition than before the treatment. The applicator was nowhere to be seen and the supplier too was invisible. But there was still a huge problem to be solved.
Together with roofing specialist Poppe, Liquid Rubber Europe inspected the situation on location and offered an advise for recovery. The contractors were a bit sceptic about yet "some other black stuff", but they decided to give us a chance.
And fortunately they did: Poppe as fully recovered the whole roof and made it brand new. First all the corners were treated with Liquid Rubber HBS-200, in combination with geotextile. Then new roofing plates were applied and they were sprayed with a seamless, waterproofing layer of Liquid Rubber SealRoof-B-200.
In the meantime we have had lots of showers, but this time the roof is really waterproof! The contractor was very happy, especially about the speed of working, the problem solving and the quality of Liquid Rubber. Apparently not all black liquid waterproofing coatings are alike...
Our advise: beware of copy-cats and choose quality! Cheap fake products may cost you more, eventually.

Project:
Sealing of roof + isolation
Description:
Our Belgian distributor AXO Industries has realised a new project together with Jan Bisschop BVBA (Belgium): the waterproofing and isolation of a new roof.
Liquid Rubber HBS-200 was used as a preliminary layer for the isolation. Since Liquid Rubber adheses both on a wooden surface as on the isolation material this is a secure and ideal solution. The isolation panels were then pressed in the still wet HBS-200. The all the seems on the panels were sealed with Liquid Rubber HBS-200 in combination with geotextile. Then the whole surface was finished with a fully covering layer of HBS-200, easily applied with a paint roller.
A very nice and waterproof project.

Project:
Liquid Rubber as roof protection
Description:
This roof was leaking in several places and therefore needed to be renovated. Liquid Rubber applicator Green Industrial Coatings has done a great job.
Used product:
Liquid Rubber HBS-200 in combination with geotextile for the sealing of seems and joints
SealRoof B-200 (single component) as adhesive layer
SealRoof B-200 (with calciumchloride) as waterproofing
Applicator Jaap Bos of Green Industrial Coatings emphasized the convenience of working with Liquid Rubber for this kind of project: "It is so easy to realise this kind of projects with Liquid Rubber. This roof had a lot of unevenness, details, vertical sims and joints that can be sprayed very easily. I don't wanna think about how much time I would have lost when having to cut and fit roofing material. Liquid Rubber makes it easy to finish these kinds of difficult jobs." according to Jaap Bos of Green Industrial Coatings.
