The Belgians are doing good!
Our Belgian distributor, AXO Industries, is doing a good job over there. Johan Cornelis, newly appointed General Manager, is further structurising the internal organisation and expanding the market. People are working hard on brand awareness and brand promotion and ofcourse pay a lot of attention to Liquid Rubber.

Recently they introduced their own newsletter, with which they inform their customers about the companies' developments and in which they highlight certain products.

They also organise monthly product demonstrations. Invited customers do not only get a presentation about Liquid Rubber, but they can also try it themselves. They designed a real nice corner where the product can be tested, either by brush or by spraying.

And like us, AXO too loves speed and so they are the sponsor of a local rally team. And they only go for the strong ones: on June 29 driver Nikias Priem and co-pilot Maxim Froyman drove the Geko Ypres rally with their fast Ford Fiësta R2 and won a very nice 3rd place in their league.

We say: well done AXO, keep up the good work!

Who, what, where
Each month we give you an update of one of our projects that have been realised by our applicators with Liquid Rubber®. Some are large (in terms of meters or in liters), others are smaller, but this way we give you an idea of the many possibilities with Liquid Rubber. If you have any questions about these projects, please contact us.

Project:
Full roof recovery
Description:
Not all black, liquid coatings are alike, even though some claim to be. There is a substantial quality difference and this often becomes obvious when it is too late...

This time it really went wrong with a roof of an office building in Staphorst (NL). The contractor chose another black, liquid roof protection. Just a matter of spraying it on and the job was done. One would think so. But not this time.

After the first serious rain shower the roof was leaking on all sides and inside the office brown water was running down the walls. When the rain was over, it turned out that the whole roof was 'eaten' and in even worse condition than before the treatment. The applicator was nowhere to be seen and the supplier too was invisible. But there was still a huge problem to be solved.

Together with roofing specialist Poppe, Liquid Rubber Europe inspected the situation on location and offered an advise for recovery. The contractors were a bit sceptic about yet "some other black stuff", but they decided to give us a chance.

And fortunately they did: Poppe as fully  recovered the whole roof and made it brand new. First all the corners were treated with Liquid Rubber HBS-200, in combination with geotextile. Then new roofing plates were applied and they were sprayed with a seamless, waterproofing layer of Liquid Rubber SealRoof-B-200.

In the meantime we have had lots of showers, but this time the roof is really waterproof! The contractor was very happy, especially about the speed of working, the problem solving and the quality of Liquid Rubber. Apparently not all black liquid waterproofing coatings are alike...

Our advise: beware of copy-cats and choose quality! Cheap fake products may cost you more, eventually.

Project:
Sealing of roof + isolation
Description:
Our Belgian distributor AXO Industries has realised a new project together with Jan Bisschop BVBA (Belgium): the waterproofing and isolation of a new roof.

Liquid Rubber HBS-200 was used as a preliminary layer for the isolation. Since Liquid Rubber adheses both on a wooden surface as on the isolation material this is a secure and ideal solution. The isolation panels were then pressed in the still wet HBS-200. The all the seems on the panels were sealed with Liquid Rubber HBS-200 in combination with geotextile. Then the whole surface was finished with a fully covering layer of HBS-200, easily applied with a paint roller.

A very nice and waterproof project.

Project:
Spray-coating of a wooden house
Description:
Liquid Rubber applicator Green Industrial Coatings realised a project for the municipality of Groningen (NL). A house in a park, made of waterproof chipboard had to be waterproofed with Liquid Rubber.

Liquid Rubber SealRoof B-200 (single component) was applied as an adhesive layer after which the whole surface was sprayed with SealRoof B-200 and calciumchloride.

It's a peculiar house with a need look and fully waterproof. The contractor was very happy with the end result.

Project:
Liquid Rubber as roof protection
Description:
This roof was leaking in several places and therefore needed to be renovated. Liquid Rubber applicator Green Industrial Coatings has done a great job.

Used product:
Liquid Rubber HBS-200 in combination with geotextile for the sealing of seems and joints
SealRoof B-200 (single component) as adhesive layer
SealRoof B-200 (with calciumchloride) as waterproofing

Applicator Jaap Bos of Green Industrial Coatings emphasized the convenience of working with Liquid Rubber for this kind of project: "It is so easy to realise this kind of projects with Liquid Rubber. This roof had a lot of unevenness, details, vertical sims and joints that can be sprayed very easily. I don't wanna think about how much time I would have lost when having to cut and fit roofing material. Liquid Rubber makes it easy to finish these kinds of difficult jobs." according to Jaap Bos of Green Industrial Coatings.

Fastlove...
Sunday 14 July was a beautiful day. Not only for the French, who then celebrate their national holiday, but also for our own Kervin Bos. After a last couple of misfortunate races he was back in his usual shape and managed to finish second in the Supersport Race in Zolder (Belgium).

Especially that day some people of AXO Industries were guest at the track and were witness to his success. They could experience first-hand the whole event and had a wonderful day.

Well done, Kervin! He rides again on August 4 in Assen (NL) and we wish him all the best.

And Marcel van der Lip, our car racer, also lived up to the expectations. His third race of the season was also held in Zolder (Belgium) where he finished third.

The next race will be held on August 18 at the Zandvoort racing track (NL).

Wet 'n Wild
Our colleague Danial Sarief is an enthusiastic wakeboarder and has been trying for some time now to persuade us to come with him.

For those of you who don't know what wakeboarding is: trying to get up on a shaky board behind a speedboat and then surf on the waves looking cool and laid-back. It's like snowboarding on water. Looks easier than it is...

With the temperatures and nice evenings we had of late, we actually found no excuses anymore to postpone, so the whole team (that is, those who WEREN'T on holiday...) went along. After some theoretical preparation (watching YouTube-movies the whole night to find out how on earth to get up on a board without ending up in Funniest Home Videos) everybody took a shot at it and really: it was great! Some had more experience, others were more talented, but everybody got on the board and we all had a really great time!

And ofcourse Danial also showed us how it should be done properly...

This month's question:
Which member of the Liquid Rubber Europe team had other priorities and therefore was not present at the wakeboarding? (We think he just didn't have the guts...).

Send your answer to marketing@liquidrubbereurope.com and maybe you will be opening this nice bottle of wine very soon. Cheers!
