From 4-9 February the international construction exhibition in Utrecht took place.

 

Although the event was slightly smaller than two years ago it was still a popular and well visited event. Major themes this year were Passive building and Sustainability.

 

As we mentioned in our previous newsletter, Raab Karcher has sustainability high on its agenda. Their stand was completely built around Greenworks. Sustainable products, suppliers engaged with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), digital order processing and administration and the introduction of their own app: Raab Karcher has 'green' as top priority.

 

Throughout the day interviews were held on the stand in which the suppliers of the Greenworks Program were tested on their contribution to CSR and its significance within their own companies. Liquid Rubber was one of those suppliers who could give their opinion. And also: the chair on which the interviewee was seated, was fully coated in 100% environmental friendly Liquid Rubber A-200. This was offered by Liquid Rubber to Raab Karcher and was a real eyecatcher during the entire exhibition.

 

Visitors to the stand could also win a electric scooter. All in all a green and responsible stand of Raab Karcher in which they take the lead in the implementation of sustainability in the construction segment.

 

 

 

 

 

Not only in the Netherlands Liquid Rubber was promoted by our distributors. On the Batibouw in Brussels, one of the largest construction fairs in Belgium, from Thursday 21th of February untill Sunday 3th of March our Belgium distributor AXO Industries was present with a beautiful stand which in addition to solutions for acoustics and wall insulation also paid ample attention to sealing with Liquid Rubber.

 

Clear and detailed displays show in an easy way the many possibilities and by means of a photo- video presentation that runs the entire day, visitors are informed about the possibilities and way of processing of the Liquid Rubber coatings.

 

The people of AXO so far had a very crowded stand with a lot of attention and we hope they will a very successful week.

All in all we are very happy with the exhibition activities in the Netherlands and abroad. After all, it is all about networking... Cheers!

In our newsletters you can often read about projects of our Belgium distributor, VCL-Lokeren. This company, owned by Alex de Wilde, has had strong believe in Liquid Rubber and its added value from the start.

Composting is probably one of the oldest natural recycling processes. Composting takes place by the activity of bacteria and fungi, which are naturally present in the organic material. They break down the material and use the degradation products for their own life processes. With this degradation process they use oxygen and create carbon dioxide, water and heat.

 

Compost consists of plant residues, but there is also manure. Chemically it is a mixture of water, minerals, and organic matter. Important elements in fertilizers are nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus and magnesium. In addition, the trace elements iron, zinc, copper, molybdenum, boron and cobalt are found in lesser degree.

 

Compost or manure storage is an active process involving many harmful substances, such as acids. These acids are a problem because they affect the containers in which the substances are stored. Many coatings or foils are simply 'eaten' and also the concrete or metal are not resistant to the harmful effects of the acids.

 

The coatings of Liquid Rubber are to some level resistant to a large part of the above-mentioned minerals. But it is especially important to know in which percentage the substance is present. On our website, www.liquidrubbereurope.com, a chemical list is provided containing all the substances Liquid Rubber is resistant to.

 

But compost or manure is often a combination of various substances. Therefore it is very important for you to know what exactly is the composition of the substance that is stored in a container that needs to be treated with Liquid Rubber. in such a case we ask for the exact composition of the substance completely with the percentages. On this basis we can give you an appropriate advice.

Our motorcycle talent Kervin Bos makes is back in the scene. After a period of radio silence and a change of sponsorship is he finally back on track. He can't wait to start up his motercycle again.

 

This year Kervin will hunt for succes in the ONK Supersport with a Honda Ten Kate CBR600RR.

 

He is back on track after a difficult year with a lot of setbacks.  The transition from Yamaha to the new sponsor Honda means he will ride a different motercycle. One known as quickly and reliably with a friendly steering quality.

 

The new spirit and a reliable engine will be needed, because now it is also known that former champion Raymond Schouten will make his comeback in the Supersport class. And that means competition for Bos. But he's definitely not afraid: "Competition makes the struggle even more beautiful and exciting, and that is what the audience is coming for!'' said Kervin Bos.

 

The suit is ready, the motorcycle is still in the basecoat, but soon Kervin will be fully ready. And we will keep you informed of his performances in our newsletter.
